A ghostly patient at Ventnor Botanic Gardens?

Myself and my son visited Ventnor Botanical Gardens yesterday morning (February 13, 2012). At about 10.30am, whilst walking to my car, coming back from the greenhouse area, I saw a man, very briefly standing by what looks like a large acorn garden ornament. He was about 5ft 10, red hair cut in a typical 'Cary Grant' style. He was wearing a salmon pink shirt with rolled up sleeves with something clipped onto them, the style of 1940's menswear. He had quite a chiselled look to his face with a pointed nose and strong jawbone. I got the feeling that he was a former patient but someone quite well known, at least back then? I also felt that the New Zealand area of the garden could be quite active as we both got the feeling we had someone walking behind us when there wasn't! We never once felt uncomfortable there and thought the gardens were beautiful.
